August at The Edwards Company has been busy. A lot has happened recently for our business and there have been many changes that have taken place, luckily for us most of the changes that we’ve experienced during the pandemic have been quite positive!
A little recap of our recent highlights:
Liz joined our company as an Admin Assistant in 2017, within a year Liz was promoted to Office Manager. Liz has continued to impress us with her work ethic and the skills that she brings to the company, and in June of this year Liz was promoted to become one of our directors. This is a massive achievement and it is well deserved by Liz. There is no denying that she has fully earned this promotion.
We have also had a little bit of company growth and our team is very shortly due to expand again. We have recently been joined by Grace who is acting as a Personal Assistant to the Company Directors. And we are about to be joined by two Digital Marketing Apprentices, Louisa and Harry. We are very much looking forward to them becoming part of our team and helping us on our journey to continue to grow and make our company stronger.
As have many companies in the UK this year we had to furlough a number of employees to cope with the impact of the pandemic to our business. We are pleased to say that because of this scheme, and because of our business planning and management no jobs will be lost at The Edwards Company (UK) Ltd.
While on furlough during August a number of courses were taken by our team members to improve their skills, ready to return to the office. With so many companies being forced to close we are pleased that we have been able to withstand the impact so far. This is down to both the support of our customers and also the strength of our team members.
With the addition of a Digital Marketing Team we are hoping to achieve substantial growth over the next 12 months. It is our aim to promote the services that we are able to offer in a more visible way than what we have done previously.

We are going to be expanding our reach and not only will we be on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram we are also planning to use YouTube so that customers can see a little bit more about the workings of our company behind the scenes. We think it is always nice to be able to put a face to the names that you are dealing with and we like the idea of being transparent and sharing our office news with you.
It is long overdue but we will also be posting regularly on our blog and news page. We want to give you an insight into how we work, and why we work so hard for our customers.
